Who we are

Lightweight Mobility is a trading name of Adaptation Station Ltd (company number 07589362), Unit 2 Old Forge Road, Wimborne, England, BH21 7RR. We are the controller of your personal information. Contact us about privacy at support@lightweightmobility.co.uk or on 0330 088 7024.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address when you order, and what you ordered.
• If you claim VAT relief: the declaration you sign, including the name and address of the person the product is for and a short description of their condition. This is health information, which the law treats as especially sensitive.
• What you tell us when you call, email or ask for a demonstration.
• Payment details are entered on DNA Payments’ secure page. We receive confirmation of the payment, not your card details.

How we use it and why

• To process, deliver and support your order, including warranty claims (to perform our contract with you).
• To keep accounting and VAT records, and to support a VAT relief claim (to meet our legal obligations). We use the health information in your declaration only for your VAT relief claim; you give us your explicit consent to do so when you choose to claim.
• To answer your questions and arrange demonstrations (our legitimate interest in helping customers).
• To send marketing emails, only if you’ve agreed. We don’t currently send marketing emails.

Who we share it with

We share only what’s needed with the companies that help us run the shop: DNA Payments (card payments), our delivery partners FedEx and Palletways, our website host (Vercel), our order and email systems, and HMRC where the law requires it. We don’t sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records, including VAT relief declarations, for six years after the end of the financial year of the order, as HMRC requires. We keep enquiries for up to two years.

Cookies and browser storage

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Your basket and comparison list are kept in your own browser so they stay while you browse; you can clear them at any time on the basket and comparison pages. During checkout we keep a short reference in your browser so a double click can’t create a second order. DNA Payments’ payment page may set cookies needed to take your payment securely. Our website host keeps basic access logs for security.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask to move it to another provider, and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything we did before). Some records, such as VAT records, must be kept by law. Contact us at support@lightweightmobility.co.uk.
