These terms apply when you buy from lightweightmobility.co.uk. Please read them before you order. They don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are
Lightweight Mobility is a trading name of Adaptation Station Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07589362). Registered office: Unit 2 Old Forge Road, Wimborne, England, BH21 7RR. VAT number GB110454464.

2. Your order
When you press Pay, you offer to buy the products in your basket. Our contract starts when your payment is taken and we email your order confirmation. If we can’t accept your order, for example because a product is no longer available, we’ll tell you and refund any money you’ve paid in full.
Product photos are for illustration. Colours, finishes and specifications can vary slightly between batches; please ask us if a particular detail matters to you before you order.
3. Prices and VAT
Prices are in pounds sterling. Qualifying products show two prices: the standard price including 20% VAT, and the VAT-relief price for eligible customers. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you order.
If we make an obvious pricing error, we’ll contact you before dispatch. You can then go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
4. VAT relief
If you’re chronically sick or disabled, or buying for someone who is, you may be able to buy qualifying products without VAT for personal or domestic use. You claim this by signing a declaration at checkout. It’s a criminal offence to make a false declaration. If a declaration turns out to be incorrect, the VAT may become payable. Read about VAT relief.
5. Paying
We take card payments through DNA Payments’ secure payment page. We never see or store your card details. We don’t take payment until you confirm your order.
6. Pre-orders and deposits
Some products can be ordered before they arrive with us. When every product in your order is a pre-order, you pay a deposit when you order (normally 20% of the order total; the product page shows the deposit) and the balance before we deliver. Your price is fixed when you order.
We’ll contact you when your order is ready and ask for the balance. If you can’t pay it within 14 days of that request, we may cancel the order and refund your deposit in full. You can cancel a pre-order at any time before delivery and we’ll refund your deposit in full. If we can’t supply the product, we’ll refund everything you’ve paid.
If your basket mixes pre-order and in-stock products, the full amount is taken when you order.
7. Delivery
Free standard mainland-UK delivery is included with every product. Lightweight products arrive by tracked courier and XSTO powerchairs by pallet to the kerbside, which needs someone to receive and sign for them. For the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands, please ask us for a quote before ordering. Delivery information.
Delivery dates are estimates. We’ll tell you about any significant delay. If we can’t deliver within 30 days of your order, or a date we agreed, you can cancel for a full refund. A product is your responsibility once it’s delivered to you, and it’s yours once you’ve paid for it in full.
8. Changing your mind
You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to cancel it, and 14 more days to return the products. See our returns policy for how this works, the exceptions and who pays for returns.
9. Faulty products and warranties
Every product must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn’t, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, set out in our returns policy.
Products also carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which is in addition to your legal rights. It doesn’t cover misuse, normal wear and tear or unauthorised modifications. For warranty repairs after your first six months, repairs are back to base: you arrange and pay for sending the product to us, and we pay to return it to you after repair.
10. Demonstrations
You can book a demonstration at our Ferndown or West Drayton sites. Demonstrations are by appointment only and free of charge. These are working sites rather than shops, so please don’t travel without an appointment. Request a demonstration.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights about the products. We sell products for domestic and private use, so we aren’t responsible for business losses.
12. Problems and complaints
If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we’ll try to put it right. For independent advice, you can contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
